VILLA DI ULIGNANO
A moment for the Venue
Villa di Ulignano is a beautiful villa from the 17th century located on top of a hill near Volterra. It is immersed in three hectares of delightful and well-tended park that guarantees maximum privacy to their guests and stunning views over the surrounding hills. This villa has many historical characters lodged in this enchanting property.
You will not be short of things to do on our wedding weekend! The villa boasts an incredible list of facilities including:

TRAVEL
GETTING TO ITALY FROM THE UK
Villa Di Ulignano is located in the middle of the triangle formed by the cities of Pisa, Siena and Florence.
Both Florence and Pisa airport are approximately a one hour drive to the villa, so whatever are the more convenient/better value flights we reccomend taking.

FROM THE AIRPORT TO VOLTERRA/ VILLA
We highly reccomend renting a car to for the weekend/ pairing up with people and renting a car together.
Rental cars from both Pisa and Florence airports are incredibly cheap (the times we have visited it has been 50 euros for a long weekend) and allows flexability and the ability to explore the local area in the mornings of both days if desired.

Our wedding planner highly reccomends using cars.com, they are always low cost and free cancellation.
​
Alternatively, you can arrange for transfers to and from the airport to the venue but these work out more expensive.
ACCOMODATION
For guests not staying on site, there are a plethora of beautiful accommodation options close to the villa. These include rustic Italian cottages/villas that you can find on Airbnb, charming bed and breakfasts and boutique hotels.
The following are our recommendations based on proximity to the venue. There are many great value and beautiful options in the surrounding area, so you won't have an issue finding a gem to stay in for the weekend.

Villa Di Scopicci, Entire Villa: 15min walk
Located on the same grounds as Podere Ulivacci is Villa di scopicci. Inside the villa there is an apartment made up of a kitchen,a double bedroom and a little hall that can add an extra bed. Then there is a big country house made up of a kitchen, 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms , a dining room.
Villa Volterra: 30min walk, 4min drive
Super luxurious modern villa that you can rent only on exlusive for 6 people in 3 double bedrooms. Heatable swimming pool, jacuzzi & more
Podere Ripi: 30min walk, 4min drive
3 apartments. Lovely accomodation. 3 apartments or you can rent the whole property exclusively. Has a bio pool
Escaia: 8min drive
Another beautiful accomodation. 5 apartments in total. You can also rent single apartments
Villa Loghino: 9min drive
Country style accomodation with a pool. 4 apartments and 2 bedrooms that can be rented on an idividual basis. Alessia, the owner of Villa Loghino has really good ties with the owner of our wedding venue so contact her directly if interested to book this accomodation. info@villaloghino.com
Relais Villa Sensano: 10min drive
Surrounded by a private park and olive groves, Relais Villa Sensano is an 18th century villa in the Chianti wine region. It offers self-catering apartments, an outdoor swimming pool, wellness centre and free Wi-Fi.
La Locanda: Centre of Volterra
A designer hotel located in the centre of Volterra. The hotel is a 14th century building that has been converted from a conventby a famous historian, Anton Filippo Giachi.
Podere Ulivacci, Tuscan manor outside Volterra: 15min walk
This can be found on Airbnb and is a farm house that can sleep up to 6 guests. It has two double bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Il Fontino: 12min walk
2 bedrooms for 4 people. Just off the driveway of the villa.
Friday 20th September
7pm - 9.30pm
WELCOME DRINKS & PIZZA
To kick start the celebrations and welcome you all to the Tuscan Hills, we invite everyone to join us at the The Cinema outhouse located in the front grounds of the villa. Following food and catch ups, we thought it would be great to make the most of the numerous game rooms and have many a healthy competition between guests. As we have a very large Saturday and Sunday ahead of us, the bar will close at 9.30pm. We will be screening our favourite film, 'True Romance' in the cinema at 10pm for those who wish to watch a film/stay up. If you want to continue drinking past 9.30pm kindly note you will have to provide your own beverages.

Think linen suits, shirts & smart trousers, floaty dresses, jumpsuits etc. Its a weekend to feel fabulous & great.
Saturday 21st September

This is the chance for everyone to dress to impress, get suited and booted, feel glamorous and dance the night away feeling their absolute finest!
Floor length gowns, tuxedos and of course, trews and kilts are welcomed for the Scotsmen, or converted Englishmen.
The Morning
9am- 12pm
For those who want to explore the surrounding areas, this is your chance. The beautiful town of Volterra is only a 10minute drive away and is definitely worth a wander around. Alternatively, you can spend the morning resting by the pool, going on a walk, utilising the gym or the two saunas!

For guests staying on site, brunch will be provided. For guests staying in the main house, this will be in the entrance hall located on the ground floor of the villa. Guests located in the Borgo are provided breakfast there.
Guests Arrive
3.30pm
Guests arrive and a welcome drink is served. Kindly ensure that you arrive on time as guests will be seated at 3.45pm for the ceremony to start.
​
The Ceremony will begin at 4pm.
​
4.30pm the ceremony will finish and guests will move to the apertif area.
Dinner
6pm
Guests will be asked to be find their seats for dinner.
​
6.30pm Nina and Jasper will make their entrance to dinner.
​
Speeches will occur throughout the meal.
​
9pm Cake Cutting.
Let's Dance!
9pm - 2am
9.30pm The First Dance.
​
Then, in the words of David Bowie, it's time to put on your red shoes and DANCE.

We cannot WAIT to party with you all until the early hours.

Sunday 22nd September
1pm Onwards
THE
POOL
PARTY
The Pool Party will start at 1pm on Sunday. Think catered BBQ, cute gelato carts, chic aperol vans, free flowing drinks, beer and sun!
Jasper has flown in DJ's from London which will start at 4pm for a four hour set.
Get back on the tipple to keep that hangover at bay and have one last hoorah altogether having an incredibly fun day in the sun!

DRESS CODE:
ITALIAN CHIC
​
Linen suits, shirts, chinos, floaty maxi dresses and summer dresses. Remember to pack the swimsuit in case you fancy going in the pool later on or sweating away that hangover in the sauna located in the poolhouse.
​
The pool has a selection of changing rooms so make sure to bring your costume or swim shorts to change into as the day (or as the tipsiness) develops! We most certainly will be making a dive into the pool!
REGISTRY
As we are asking people to travel to Tuscany to celebrate with us in true Italian style, your presenece means the world to us and is all we ask for.

If you would still like to contribute a wedding gift, we would be thrilled to receive a contribution towards our honeymoon fund as our tiny London one bed can just about fit us in it, hence we do not have a registry gift list.
